"retreat at ubin! ++"
i had a really fun time at ubin with my fellow scholars (: though we were very suay throughout the trip, i think it was still very much worth the time and efforts. i was looking through the photos which were uploaded on facebook..and i think no matter who the audience is, everyone can feel the happiness during the trip just based on the photos alone..haha cos there were crazy shots, insistent jumping shots, unglam shots..but most importantly, everyone was smiling (:
lets do a more detailed recount:

Wed late morning went to find fiona to get a ride to changi pt ferry terminal (the main intention was to watch her drive actually)..so i took 852 along the nygh route..met cr at the busstop and we walked to fiona's house..setting off..'launched' the foodstuff into the boot, with her dad guiding her while she drove. a good driver for someone who just passed i must say.
met the rest at the hawker centre there and ate lunch. boarded the ferry..took photos on the ferry...
and when we got to ubin jetty, we made a shopowner take repeated photos for us..and then decision-making #1, to rent a bike or not. in the end decided not to..so we actually walked all the way to celestial resort haha.
and we were walking too fast in front..that the ppl at the back actually overtook us to slow us down.
hmm we got to the resort..spent some time settling down.. and went to play vball and frisbee on the rough sands within the resort..frisbee is very tiring really really. had lots of fun talking while resting, running around, hitting the ball around, picking up the ball, taking jump shots, piggybacking ppl haha.
nearer to 6 we went back to cook dinner, though ended up playing cards before that...haah we cooked many many stuff..which we couldnt finish and samuel took to the task of finishing most of it..and here comes our suay part.
apparently theres like no one else staying at the resort other than us and so some guy decided to come check on us..and upon realising that there were 12 of us instead of the allocated 4 spaces..we were kind of forced to get out..only 4 could stay overnight..
in the end, after washing up etc, we decided that all of us would just camp at the jetty instead. we dabao-ed some stuff (not convenient to say what) and walked to the jetty in darkness. refused to take their van out cos it was daylight (no, night actually) robbery...money suckers.
perhaps it was a blessing in disguise cos i liked this part of the trip the best (: night at jetty.
we made ourselves comfortable..and started playing mass games like indian poker (where everyone was shouting and very agitated, panicky, and many ppl were tricking many ppl esp the 2 ppl sitting opp me and feeoyna HAHAH), animal concentration where we had a fun time laughing at zx (sorry!lol)..after that the tagline of the night appeared 'just sit down and chill'. haha alicia was spamming it.
so we realy did so..did some 'bedtime' stories and sharing..and some ate rambutans which an uncle gave it to us..
then spent the rest of the night playing bridge..
next morning we set out at 7 after renting the bikes..rode to chek jawa..if i had to ride a few more times like this, i think i will soon get a phobia of cycling haha. i hate the upslopes..most of the time i had to get down the bike to walk instead of cycling. argh. my legs were like wobbly jelly by the time we got to chek jawa.
then we kena suay stuff again when we got there. apparently it opens only at 830 but we happily went in at 8..and well we kinda got lectured abt it haha...so we were looking at the crabs scuttling aroudn etc. and alicia got v v excited when she saw a slithering snake in the bushes..
ok the trip back to resort from chek jawa wasnt exactly fun either..cos there were upslopes as usual..well whats new- get down and walk alongside ur bike lol. ok wash up when back at resort..some take minute naps..some of us falling aslp in front of the tv while waiting for our turn to bathe..and the resort spamming their power failures and lack of water (esp while alicia was bathing)..packing up...and leaving on our bikes again (:
haha i made cr take my vball for me..and later we had to exchange bags also cos i wasnt tall enough for my sling bag and it was brushing against my bike wheel..thanks la da hao ren..
so we biked back to the jetty (of cos not before we took photos with the resort that we didnt slp in)..took the bumboat back to mainland to tampines round market to meet baiting and haojun. ate lunch there...shared kuay zup with samuel and fiona. and with daryl we played zhong ji mi ma just to finish up the food.
after that we headed to safra tampines minds cafe. was very fun also..esp the bone snatching game. zhou xiang is classic hahaha. srsly, he puts his hand at the bone and trades only once in a while lol. and my group was standing up while playing uglyuglyugly..haha ppl screaming laughing shouting...was quite tiring actually lol.
den we played taboo...different variations..ended up with some ppl trying to act out the words..(:

anyway fri and sat were very busy days for me..out almost the whole day for both days..such that i could almost sleep while standing on the mrt (but not quite)..and i overshot 1 mrt station but lucky no damage was done cos it was cityhall/rafflesplace haha.
yday night went to suz's house for bbq after trg..haha ate quite some..and very nice food suzanna! and guess what! haha im not as scared of dogs now! haha i didnt scream or run away once from the dog!! (: woohoo..
oh and i realised that my nice monkey snr dawnie is also afraid of dogs hahah..ok la but only screamed twice..
but the bad part was...i got home at like slightly after 1130 ):
haha sorry! and my mum wasnt happy at all..
die la..haha now monday how ): i wanna go out with my hus friends de!
i can't force myself to wait for you...
